Thai Trek Adventure offers an excellent 2-day private trek in an exceptional, little-visited jungle area with one night in a Lahu tribe village, followed by a third day and overnight stay in our very authentic elephant conservation camp on the edge of the jungle.

Program
Day 1
- Hotel pick-up between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m.
- Drive of about 1.5 hours to the starting point of the trek.
- Approximately 4 hours of trekking through the rainforest (humid evergreen forest).
- Discovery of highly diverse flora (bamboo groves, giant dipterocarps, flowers, wild orchids, etc.).
- Arrival in a Lahu village around 4:00 p.m.
- Dinner and overnight stay in the village.
Day 2
- Breakfast at the village.
- Trek through mountains and jungle.
- Discovery of a secluded waterfall deep in the forest (relaxation and swimming).
- Crossing through various villages and hamlets of mountain tribes.
- Dinner and overnight stay at our elephant camp in our bungalows.
Day 3
- Breakfast at the elephant camp.
- Discovery of our Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and fitting of local clothing. First moments spent with our elephants and preparation of their meal.
- Learning how to make “medicine balls” (herbal balls made of grasses, tamarind, salt, etc.) for the elephants, followed by feeding the elephants.
- Walk with the elephants to the river, then bathe with the pachyderms (these baths are important because elephants cannot reach all parts of their bodies. By cleaning them properly, we help prevent many skin infections!).
- Lunch at campsite.
- Afternoon: activities with elephants or afternoon at the sticky waterfall or rafting (bamboo raft) on the Mae Taeng river.
- Retour to hotel in Chiang Mai around 4 p.m. or 5 p.m.

Price includes :
RATE: 6500 baht per person (minimum 2 people). 25% discount for children under 10: 4875 baht per person.

The price does not include :

Price: 6 500 THB
- Equipment: small backpack, hiking shoes or good sports shoes, hiking pants or cargo pants, hat (bucket hat or cap), t-shirt or shirt, socks, a dry change of clothes for the evening, swimsuit or shorts, towel, a sweater in the cold season (December–January), mosquito repellent, sunscreen, flashlight.
